What to expect from a hearing test
A hearing test at Simba Health is a simple, comfortable assessment suitable for all ages from four years and onwards. We begin with a discussion about your hearing and your health, followed by a series of precise tests to understand how well you hear and process sound.
Our comprehensive one hour hearing tests cover the following aspects of your hearing:

Common questions
What is the difference between:
A short pass/fail check of your hearing, usually around 15 minutes. It tells you whether a hearing concern is present and whether a full assessment is worth booking. It is free and no referral is needed.
A comprehensive one hour assessment with an accredited audiologist covering otoscopy, middle ear testing, pure tone audiometry, speech testing, speech in noise and acoustic reflexes. You receive your results and a management plan on the same day.
A no-obligation conversation with an audiologist about your hearing, your results or your device options. It is free, and there is no expectation to proceed with an assessment or a hearing device afterwards.
A detailed assessment of the balance organs of the inner ear, run with our vestibular physiotherapists. It is the right choice when dizziness, vertigo or unsteadiness is part of the picture, and it can usually be done in the same appointment as your hearing assessment.
